Porto District

Moving to Porto — the cheaper, greener, wetter alternative

Porto offers 60% of Lisbon's amenities at 60% of Lisbon's cost. Slower pace, fewer tourists, friendlier locals, and a growing tech scene. It rains more, and you'll need Portuguese more than in Lisbon.

Foz do Douro

Upscale, by the sea, quiet. Good for families and retirees. More expensive — €1,200-1,800 for a 1-bed.

Bonfim
