Bem-vindo (bemvindo.app) is operated by Upfixe, Unipessoal LDA, a company registered in Portugal. Bem-vindo is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that provides ongoing, personalized compliance monitoring and information services for expats in Portugal. The service includes personalized settlement checklists, automated deadline monitoring and alerts, curated guides, and an AI-powered assistant — all delivered continuously through the platform as long as your subscription is active.

Bem-vindo provides informational content only. We are NOT a law firm, tax advisory, or accounting service. The information provided should not be relied upon as legal, tax, or financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional (accountant, lawyer, or tax advisor) for your specific situation. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate but cannot guarantee it is complete, current, or error-free.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during onboarding. You must be at least 18 years old to use this service.

Paid subscriptions are billed by Paddle.com Market Limited (our merchant of record) on a monthly or annual basis. Prices include applicable VAT. Paddle handles all payment processing, invoicing, and sales tax compliance. You can cancel anytime from your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Free tier features remain accessible after cancellation. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service.

We offer a full 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of your first paid subscription. If you are not satisfied for any reason, contact george@bemvindo.app within 14 days of purchase for a complete refund. Refunds are processed by Paddle and typically appear within 5-10 business days. After the 14-day period, no refunds are provided, but you can cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges.

The AI chat assistant provides general information based on publicly available sources about Portuguese bureaucracy. Answers may be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete. Do not rely on AI responses for critical legal, tax, or immigration decisions. We are not responsible for any actions taken based on AI-generated content.

You agree not to: misuse the service, attempt to access other users' data, use automated tools to scrape content, or redistribute our proprietary content without permission.

All content, guides, and features are owned by Upfixe, Unipessoal LDA. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bem-vindo and Upfixe, Unipessoal LDA. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
